The Environment Community Opportunity (ECO) Charter School will empower students to realize their vast intellectual and social potential by teaching them to think critically and creatively and by guiding them to unite mastered skills and content knowledge to create and pursue their own opportunities. Our students are the children of Camden - they will grow to become adept learners, community leaders and environmental stewards.  

Vision

      Educational research makes a compelling case that not all students learn or think, alike. Student learning is as varied as the students themselves. Most traditional teaching draws from the same pedagogy, providing few accessible options to students who seek a different way of learning. With the guiding philosophies that education takes place in a variety of environments, including but not limited to school, home and community, and that academic achievement is inextricably linked with proper nutrition and health, ECO Charter School seeks to offer a new “ecology of the school”, establishing a learning community that underscores academic excellence, wellness, empowerment, and service.
